Role Overview

Plastic Surgeon Consultant / Senior Registrar role delivering reconstructive and aesthetic surgical care, from consultation and treatment planning through surgery and postoperative follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Consult patients, review medical histories and assess treatment needs.
• Recommend suitable surgical and non-surgical treatment options and explain risks and benefits.
• Perform a broad range of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive procedures within approved privileges.
• Treat patients with congenital conditions, trauma injuries, burns or aesthetic concerns.
• Prepare patients for surgery and ensure pre-operative instructions are followed.
• Prescribe medications including antibiotics and pain-management treatment when clinically appropriate.
• Provide postoperative care and patient education.
• Arrange and conduct follow-up appointments, monitor healing and remove sutures when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with hospital policies and clinical standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• For Consultant level, at least 5 years of experience after MD or equivalent qualification.
• Consultant-level candidates must be licensed as a Consultant in their home country.
• Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification.
• Proven experience in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
• Strong attention to detail and surgical precision.
• Ability to work professionally under pressure and during long working hours.
• Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
