Role Overview

Dialysis nursing role assessing dialysis patients and planning, delivering and evaluating holistic care across pre-, intra- and post-dialysis phases.

Responsibilities

Provide safe patient-centred dialysis care; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; use critical thinking to address clinical issues; contribute to quality improvement and professional development; mentor junior staff/new joiners; manage all phases of dialysis treatment; administer medicines; respond to emergencies; ensure dialysis equipment is safe and functional; educate patients and families; document care; and follow infection-control and safety protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing; DOH licence/exam pass or active DHA licence; at least two years' experience as a dialysis nurse. Current dialysis experience and bedside experience with long-term-care ventilated patients are preferred.
