Role Overview

Occupational Therapist role delivering assessment and rehabilitation for complex patients, including neurological, musculoskeletal, ICU, orthopaedic and paediatric needs.

Responsibilities

Interpret referrals; assess physiological, psychological and cognitive needs; create, deliver and revise individualised treatment plans; perform ongoing risk assessments; promote self-management and health education; complete documentation, billing and insurance tasks; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; participate in handovers and inventory; set patient-centred goals with informed consent; and provide interventions including sensory integration, seating/positioning, splinting and upper-limb management as appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy plus advanced specialty certifications such as Sensory Integration, Bobath, Mulligan or Spinal Manipulation. Six or more years of OT experience, including at least four years in a specialty area such as Neuro, MSK, ICU, Orthopaedics or Paediatric Rehab; experience with neurologically complex children; CARF/JCI rehabilitation/hospital experience; DOH/DHA-compliant licensure, BLS and relevant PALS/ACLS certification.
