Responsibilities
- Perform sterile capillary-prick and venipuncture procedures for patients across age groups.
- Verify laboratory orders in the laboratory information system and confirm barcoded sample labels before collection and processing.
- Support laboratory reception activity and the handling of specimens that must be sent to external laboratories.
- Support point-of-care testing while following Dasman Diabetes Institute Clinical Laboratory procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, confidentiality and the laboratory’s applicable standard operating procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least 4 years of previous experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a relevant diploma.
- Fluent English with basic Arabic.
- Competence in laboratory information systems and phlebotomy.
- Experience with accreditation programmes is desirable.
