Role Overview

Anesthesia Registrar role providing perioperative anesthesia care, patient assessment, treatment and monitoring while supporting consultants and hospital safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients before procedures and determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments, request and interpret investigations, establish diagnoses and provide treatment within approved privileges.
• Support consultants during anesthesia and perioperative clinical activities.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia care according to approved protocols and patient needs.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures and respond to clinical changes or complications.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and communicate clearly with the surgical and multidisciplinary team.
• Follow patient-safety, infection-control, quality and continuous-improvement standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Medical degree with postgraduate training in Anesthesia appropriate to Registrar level.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification/licensing or eligibility is required.
• Relevant clinical experience in anesthesia and perioperative patient management.
• Competence in patient assessment, anesthesia planning, monitoring and emergency response.
• Strong communication, teamwork and commitment to patient safety.
