Role Overview

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Clinical Educator for Pediatrics to plan, deliver and evaluate unit-based orientation, learning and competency programmes and serve as a clinical mentor and resource.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and plan, implement and evaluate nursing-unit orientation, learning and development programmes aligned with hospital goals.
• Act as a mentor, coach and clinical resource for paediatric nursing staff.
• Conduct formal and informal unit-based teaching sessions and support clinical competency development.
• Participate in evaluation of practice, quality improvement and education outcomes and help staff apply evidence-based care.
• Coordinate education with nursing leadership/relevant departments and maintain required learning and competency records.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor’s degree in Nursing meeting the employer's qualification pathway.
• Applicable UAE-national/UAE-graduate exemption or clinical-training rules as stated by the employer.
• Valid professional licence/registration and BLS certification.
• At least five years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty and about two years of teaching/clinical-education experience.
• Knowledge of acute-care/JCI standards, strong time-management and communication skills, and ability to teach clinical reasoning and critical thinking.
