Role Overview

American Hospital Dubai Media City Clinic is hiring a Dental Assistant/Dental Nurse to provide chairside support, prepare dental equipment and instruments, maintain infection control and support patient flow and records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during dental procedures and perform delegated duties within policy and scope.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, supplies and equipment and keep consultation rooms stocked and clean.
• Expose and develop dental radiographs and perform delegated procedures directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize reusable instruments/equipment, follow infection-control and safety requirements and dispose of contaminated materials correctly.
• Book appointments and treatments, follow up diagnostic tests, coordinate communication of results and prepare charts/electronic records for the daily schedule.
• Support patient admission/discharge, maintain confidentiality and keep current with clinic communications and process changes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Four-year Nursing Degree or five-year Doctor of Dental Medicine degree as stated in the vacancy.
• At least four years of nursing/dental experience.
• Current licence to practise nursing and valid BLS certification.
• Previous private-healthcare experience is an advantage.
