Job Overview
American Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Deputy Director of Physiotherapy in Dubai to support the leadership of the Physiotherapy Division and maintain safe, high-quality patient-centred services.
Job Description
The position supports the Director across clinical, operational and administrative functions, manages day-to-day physiotherapy operations and acts on behalf of the Director when required while maintaining JCI and DHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services and oversee day-to-day division operations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings and patient-care pathways with physicians, therapists and nursing teams.
- Monitor quality indicators, accreditation requirements and performance gaps specific to physiotherapy services.
- Support departmental policy, procedure and clinical-guideline development and review.
- Supervise, mentor and evaluate physiotherapy staff and support recruitment, orientation and training.
- Contribute to budgets, staffing plans, resource use and strategic service-development initiatives.
- Deputize for the Director during periods of absence and maintain continuity of leadership and decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.
- DHA licence or eligibility.
- At least seven years of progressive physiotherapy experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
- Knowledge of tertiary-care or teaching-hospital operations is advantageous.
