Role Overview

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to evaluate children with developmental, sensory and motor difficulties and deliver individualized occupational-therapy interventions that improve daily function and participation.

Responsibilities

• Perform developmental, neuromotor and sensory assessments for paediatric patients with varied clinical presentations.
• Develop documented, measurable individualized treatment plans based on functional needs.
• Deliver therapy addressing fine-motor coordination, sensory processing, bilateral skills, visual-perceptual abilities and activities of daily living such as feeding, dressing and grooming.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, neurologists, physiotherapists, speech-language therapists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate parents/caregivers on home strategies and therapy carryover and advise on adaptive equipment, seating or environmental modifications where indicated.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and follow professional, DHA and quality standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Relevant paediatric occupational-therapy/rehabilitation experience is required.
• Valid DHA professional licence or eligibility to practise as an Occupational Therapist.
• Valid BLS certification; advanced paediatric/sensory-integration training is advantageous.
