Role Overview

American Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Pediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist to manage children and adolescents with complex respiratory conditions across inpatient, outpatient and critical-care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat paediatric respiratory patients, including children with bronchiectasis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, neuromuscular disorders, tracheostomies and long-term ventilation needs.
• Provide specialist airway-clearance, respiratory physiotherapy and rehabilitation interventions and contribute to relevant outpatient/specialist clinics.
• Work with paediatric pulmonology, PICU/NICU and multidisciplinary teams and support continuity between inpatient and outpatient care.
• Support junior therapists and nursing colleagues and provide cross-cover to wards and critical-care areas, including rostered late, weekend or on-call duties when required.
• Maintain equipment safely, coordinate with biomedical services, participate in safety/infection-control processes and contribute to meetings, projects and service development.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy/Physical Therapy.
• Valid professional licence/registration and DHA licence or eligibility.
• Relevant post-qualification physiotherapy experience with strong paediatric respiratory exposure.
• Experience with complex respiratory patients, ventilation/tracheostomy care and multidisciplinary critical-care environments is strongly relevant.
• Strong communication, documentation, safety and teamwork skills.
