Role Overview

Specialist role delivering evidence-based child and adolescent psychiatry care within SEHA.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality evidence-based, patient-centred specialist care under the same clinical standards expected of consultant services; assess, diagnose and manage patients, follow hospital admission, consultation, daily-care, procedure, discharge and follow-up protocols, use resources appropriately, document care accurately, review investigations and modify management as needed, collaborate across specialties, report incidents, participate in quality and performance review, and support supervision and training of junior staff.

Requirements and Qualifications

Recognized medical degree, completion of the relevant specialty training and a qualification accepted by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi. Experience requirements vary by tier: current SEHA specialist listings state no additional post-board experience for some Tier 1 routes, at least two years for Tier 2 routes, and at least three years in a Specialist role for Tier 3 routes, subject to the vacancy and UAE-national training exceptions. Valid/eligible DOH licensing is required.
