Role Overview

Speech and language therapy role evaluating and treating speech, language, cognition, fluency, voice, swallowing, feeding and associated communication disorders.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of developmental speech/language delay and disorder, social-communication disorder, dysfluency and motor-speech disorders; build specialised individual/group treatment plans; advise families, carers and educators; use standardised assessments and clinical reasoning for baseline/differential diagnosis; integrate therapy into daily routines; take detailed medical, social, psychological, educational and developmental histories; coordinate with internal/external agencies and multidisciplinary teams; monitor equipment; apply infection-control precautions; and maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in Speech and Hearing Sciences or Speech-Language Pathology. Proven Arabic communication skills are desirable.

• Speech-language assessment, treatment planning, standardised testing, clinical reasoning, family education, multidisciplinary communication, infection control and confidentiality.
