Role Overview

American Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, voice and fluency disorders and contribute to rehabilitation quality and practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, voice and fluency disorders.
• Participate in departmental and hospital quality-improvement measurement, activities and goals.
• Support development, implementation and monitoring of rehabilitation practice guidelines and policies.
• Follow hospital policies, professional standards, laws and regulations governing rehabilitation care.
• Adapt communication and treatment to clinical, cultural and linguistic needs and use evidence and outcome measures to guide care.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Speech and Language Therapy or related recognized discipline, or a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid DHA licence.
• At least two years of experience in speech and phonetics in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Knowledge of teaching/training methods, language structure, human behaviour and learning, with sound clinical decision-making.
• Ability to reflect on practice and identify development needs; private-hospital experience preferred.
