Role Overview

The Staff Physician – Dermatology evaluates and manages complex medical dermatology conditions, providing diagnosis, treatment, procedures and specialist care within the Medical Subspecialties – Dermatology service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care to dermatology patients.
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
• Analyze medical records, reports and test results to diagnose conditions.
• Gather additional patient history and explain procedures, test results and prescribed treatments.
• Provide specific treatments and perform procedures or operations when appropriate.
• Evaluate progress, document clinical notes and refer patients to other members of the care team when needed.
• Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality treatment.
• Provide culturally appropriate care, follow ethical and regulatory guidance and participate in administrative and performance-improvement activities.
• Practice within approved clinical privileges and all Medical Staff policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• For physicians from Tier 1 countries, at least two years of additional post-qualification experience; Tier 2 countries, at least five years.
• Valid license/registration to practice in the home country and/or most recent country of employment.
• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO/equivalent from an accredited institution plus recognized specialty qualification under the applicable Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements.
