Job Description
Support specialist psychiatric and addiction services while helping develop junior physicians through teaching, academic leadership and clinical research. Support clinical, educational and research planning directed at stronger patient care. Lead assessment, diagnosis and treatment of substance-use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Postgraduate training and/or clinical experience in the treatment of substance-use disorders.
- At least one recognized specialty credential: Arab Board of Health Specializations; American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS); Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS-C); UK GMC/CCST Specialist Register; German Facharzt specialist certification; Swedish Board qualification; Australian/New Zealand college fellowship; Other countries’ specialist registration may be considered following equivalence review
- Consultants with Western qualifications and a subspecialty fellowship: at least one year as consultant.
- Western-qualified physicians without subspecialty fellowship: at least two years as associate consultant.
- Non-Western-qualified physicians with fellowship: a current consultant role and ten years of clinical experience since specialty certification, or at least two years in an associate consultant role.
- Applicants must currently practise in the same specialty.
- Valid home-country licence satisfying revalidation, eligibility for a Qatar psychiatry licence, and current continuing professional development.
