2. Job Description

The specialist embeds human context into early AI development, supports health-AI research and product programs, and works with engineering, product, UX and research teams. The work covers complex health datasets, model evaluation across populations and translation of clinical and public-health knowledge into product decisions.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Contribute clinical and methodological expertise to product and research roadmaps across Google.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, product and UX teams to integrate human context and social and structural factors into GenAI model development, evaluation and product design.
• Support robust data pipelines for the end-to-end lifecycle of complex health datasets.
• Identify and implement technical interventions across the model-development lifecycle from pre-training dataset curation to product deployment.
• Apply methodologies for evaluating AI model performance across populations using machine-learning, social-science and public-health principles.

4. Requirements & Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a clinical field such as MD, DO, MBBS, PharmD, DNP, PsyD or PhD.
• 2 years of experience in patient care.
• 1 year of experience applying social-science, human-context or public-health frameworks to technology development.
• 1 year of experience evaluating AI products or in digital-health product development.

5. Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced computational degree such as PhD, MPH or MS with applied experience in health fields including nursing informatics, biomedical informatics, HCI, biostatistics, behavioral science or computer science.
• Clinical-practice experience in global settings or across the lifecourse, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• AI/ML skills applied to health, including evaluation and mitigation of model performance.
• Background in medical anthropology, sociology, ecological systems or other sociobehavioral sciences.
• Track record of health-related publications or contributions to AI/ML products in health.
