Job Description
The CSSD Supervisor coordinates instrument processing and sterile-service workflows, maintaining infection-prevention practices, quality controls and effective use of departmental resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise sterile-processing workflow and appropriate handling of reusable clinical instruments.
- Monitor quality, infection prevention, documentation and safe sterile-supply availability.
- Guide team practice, resource use and operational improvement across the department.
- Contribute to staff development and patient-safety competencies in the clinical setting.
- Plan Central Sterile Services staff schedules, supervise sterilisation and decontamination and coordinate closely with infection control.
- Review sterilisation purchases, record departmental expenditure and provide periodic expense information to finance.
- Organise staff training, technical workshops and performance reviews to improve sterilisation quality and professional competence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Five to seven years of relevant experience, including two to three years in a comparable role.
- Graduation from a recognised nursing school, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Ability to meet any applicable professional licensing rules and demonstrate high English proficiency.
- High proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.

- Previous CSSD supervisory experience.
