Job Description

The physiologist interprets physical-test data, develops suitable exercise guidance and supports specialised altitude-training rooms within Aspetar research and scientific support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physiological, muscular and exercise-capacity tests and interpret results safely.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot physiology laboratory and field-testing equipment.
• Oversee altitude-room support and assist athletes undertaking training programmes.
• Set and review individual exercise plans according to assessment data and clinical risk.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and researchers and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Conduct laboratory and field physiological testing and support users of Aspetar’s altitude-training rooms.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physiology with a relevant master’s or PhD in sports science or related field.
• Six to eight years of relevant experience, including two to three years in similar responsibility.
• Relevant physiology certifications, ability to satisfy licensing obligations and high English proficiency.
• Advanced exercise-testing capability and experience with elite athletes are expected.
