Job Description

The assistant helps patients follow safe physiotherapy treatment plans, assists with mobility and exercises, and works under the direction of qualified physiotherapy staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out delegated patient-care tasks within the physiotherapist’s treatment plan.
• Assist patients with safe movement, appropriate walking aids and prescribed exercises.
• Report patient response and progress to the supervising physiotherapist.
• Support patient safety, professional standards and basic clinical documentation.
• Maintain accurate Cerner patient notes where delegated and liaise with physiotherapists on individual rehabilitation progress.
• Assist in departmental induction, patient mobility and practical support while following the treating therapist’s plan.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Recognised physiotherapy assistant qualification, relevant training programme or equivalent course.
• Five to seven years of relevant clinical experience with two to three in similar duties.
• Ability to satisfy applicable licensing requirements and high English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional professional certificates in the field.
• Arabic communication skills.
