Job Description

The Senior Physiotherapist leads treatment progression for athletes and other patients, supports junior colleagues and contributes to clinical quality and professional education.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver physiotherapy rehabilitation, including complex caseload decisions.
• Guide junior physiotherapists through clinical mentoring, review and in-service training.
• Support treatment protocols and evidence-based service improvements.
• Record care, communicate with interdisciplinary colleagues and help organise workloads.
• Contribute to mentorship and development of less-experienced therapists while shaping treatment protocols and specialised case management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or equivalent.
• Nine to eleven years of relevant experience, including three to six years in a similar role.
• Demonstrable clinical leadership, mentorship or supervisory capability.
• Relevant professional licence or eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in sports physiotherapy.
• Additional professional certificates.
• A master’s degree or doctorate in sports physiotherapy is desired; relevant specialist certifications are advantageous.
