Job Description

Alongside the core Child Life Specialist duties, this senior-level role includes departmental leadership, committee and working-group activities, quality-improvement projects, staff education, and mentoring new employees and students.

Key Responsibilities

• Create supportive play-based interventions and prepare children and families for medical procedures.
• Guide multidisciplinary care discussions and advocate for children’s psychosocial needs.
• Lead workgroups, quality improvement projects and education sessions.
• Mentor newer child-life specialists, students and trainees.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, child development, psychology or a related child/family field.
• At least five years of pediatric child-life / hospital-play clinical experience.
• Relevant child-life professional certification or registration and eligibility for Qatar practice licensing.
