CVRM TA Lead Emerging portfolio

This full-time Medical Affairs leadership role in Riyadh leads AstraZeneca's emerging cardiovascular, renal and metabolic portfolio and supports the medical strategy for dyslipidemia, weight management and amyloidosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic-area medical leadership and align the local medical vision with AstraZeneca's Saudi strategy.
• Build and lead a high-performing medical team, including field medical colleagues, and integrate medical work with cross-functional brand teams.
• Develop external medical leadership and partnerships with medical institutions, clinics, research centers, experts and patient groups.
• Ensure medical operations and compliance processes are in place and aligned with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
• Drive patient-centric initiatives, scientific education, advisory activities, publications and evidence-generation plans.
• Manage scientific information, medical-information responses and stakeholder relationships, including key external experts and payer/access stakeholders.
• Provide medical input to access strategy, brand planning and pre-launch activities and support local or regional evidence generation and clinical research.

Qualifications and Requirements

• MD, PharmD or PhD in a scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of Medical Affairs experience in biopharma or Saudi healthcare clinical settings, including medical leadership experience.
• Strong strategic leadership, project management, partnership, presentation and analytical/problem-solving capability.
• Ability to communicate scientific, economic and humanistic concepts to sophisticated technical audiences.
• Health economics, pharmacoeconomics or healthcare-policy experience is highly preferred.
• Advanced English for reading scientific literature.
