  • The Home Care Nurse assistant shall provide direct and indirect age-specific care for assigned patients outside hospital facilities.
  • The Home Care Nurse assistant shall employ her skills and knowledge to provide Nursing Care to patients at their place of residence outside hospital’s facility as per scheduled shifts or inside the hospital.
  • Treatments and procedures provided shall be in accordance with the physician’s orders and based on the scope of service.
  • The Home Care Nurse assistant has to abide by the Home Care program, workflow, schedule and instructions.
  • The Home Care Nurse assistant shall attend the patient and help his/ her in their activities of daily living and promote comfort and better quality of life.
  • The Home Care Nurse assistant shall be accountable for the clinical, educational, and quality of care provided to the patients, using as reference the policies, procedures, guidelines and professional practice of hospital.

The Consultant is responsible for patients with medical problems generally considered to fall his/her specialty. Consultant will maintain compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of Hospital, Ministry of Health standards for the Department; He / She will also plan, directs, administers and supervises activities of patients. Job Scope:

A physician shall work in Radiology devotes his/her best ability to its proper management and provide best service for the patients. Shall provide all services required by Imaging Services in the normal scope of its operations, provide shall provide service as per departmental duty rota. Reports to and advises the Head of Radiology Unit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines
  • Performs professional duties as a Radiologist or directs the performance of all function of diagnostic imaging in regard to film interpretation and procedures.
  • Determines which radiological (imaging) and related service procedures are appropriate to undertake and when new techniques will be utilized. Co-ordinates with the Chief Technologist, the requirements and actions necessary to assure availability of special equipment and supplies.
  • Participates in group conferences with other physicians for the purposes of case study from a group standpoint and offers opinions from the imaging standpoint.
  • Assures the adherence to proper safety precautions, infection control and radiation precautions for the protection of unit/division personnel and patients.
  • Participates in continuing education meetings for diagnostic Imaging Unit Services personnel.
  • Provides interpretations of all tests performed by Radiology Unit within a time frame established within the department per Medical Administration.
  • Participates in and help establish the educational programs conducted by medical administration and provide instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.
  • Works under supervision of Consultants and Specialists working in the Radiology Unit.
  • Contributes in verification of the qualification and capabilities of all radiological technical personnel as required by Diagnostic Imaging Centre Executive.
  • Ensures their presence in the hospital while called for on-call duties.
  • Follows established policies and procedures.

  • MBBS and Master Degree in Radiology
  • Minimum 1 year of experience post Master Degree in relevant specialty

Under general supervision, Radiologic technologists, also referred to as radiographers, produce images (radiographs) of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems. They prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure, removing articles and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged, while following all safety guidelines.

Apply and execute quality control policy according to the departmental and MOH regulations on all equipments.

Observe all safety regulations set by the manufacturers while using any of the Radiology equipment.

3

Give appointments and preparation for patients when needed.

4

Strictly observe the safety rules and guidelines set by the Radiology safety committee and MOH Kuwait

5

Check CAREFULLY the requests for radiology exams.(any missing data must be obtained)

6

Execute radiology examination only after fully understanding the requests written by the physicians.

Apply all safety measures to keep the radiation dose as low as possible for the patients or staff (lead protection, collimation, high kv technique and ext...)

8

Strictly follow the established protocols in diagnostic imaging dept. (exposure factors, distance, positions, slice thickness, sequences etc.),while performing any radiology exam.

Monitor equipment operation and report any mal functioning to supervisor without any delay.

Perform all types of radiology exams which you are licensed for (general radiology

exams, mammography, fluoroscopy, contrast exams, bonedensitometry, ct-scan and MRI)

Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.

12

Operate mobile equipment’ such as portable x-ray machine and c-arm whenever needed.

13

Proper positioning of the patients on examination table or stand for every exam.

Settingthe optimum parameters forradiologyexam.

15

Calculate the exact amount of contrast needed for oral or i.v. administration.

16

Monitor the patients’ vital signs during contrast administration by the radiology nurse and notify the radiologist of any relevant changes.

17

Follow strictly the hospital patient identification policy in all steps of the imaging process.

Follow strictly the RIS and PACS documentation process.

19

Observe the quality of each image and repeat work which did not meet the criteria only after being instructed by Radiologist.

Job Scope:

Handles all medical and internal medical cases in the department and in patient’s wards according to policies and procedures of the Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interviews all related patients presenting to the ER, provided they fulfill formalities of the ER according to the policy and procedures.
  • Performs and master the first aid management of different medical emergencies according to policies and procedures.
  • Notifies the Consultant or Specialist on duty about the details of clinical data if the patients need admission and discuss with him the plan of management.
  • Takes patient’s history; conducts physical examinations, requests and interprets necessary investigations as the patient’s condition mandates and provides the treatment plans for all patients before transfer to the ward.
  • Notifies the outside doctors about the details of clinical data of their patients and follow their instructions about the management plan.
  • Ability to perform LP procedure independently.
  • Performs a routine ward round for all patients knowing their complaints and according to policy and procedures of individual case.
  • Register the clinical data and any change in treatment instructions in the patient file. (writing the time and date).
  • Completes the clinical notes of the ER files and handover of cases between the two successive shifts with all clinical details.
  • Participates in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs.
  • Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Emergency Room Department Policy and Guidelines.

    Job Requirements:
    Education and Experience
  • MBBS and Master Degree in Neurology
  • Minimum 1 year of experience post Master Degree in relevant specialty

    Job-Specific/Technical Skills
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Required Organizational practices/patient safety standards.
  • Command over professional code of ethics, medical bylaws.
  • Knowledge of evidence based Age specific/ Population specific patient care clinical guidelines accepted by the hospital.
  • Culturally competent (Kuwaiti patients’ culture and beliefs).
  • AHA certified Basic Life support provider.

Job Scope:

Obs & Gyne Consultant, directs and supervises activities within the Department and related patient care departments. Reports to and advises the Medical Director on matters relating to the operation of the Department. Applies current and theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care.
